Amanda Ramos Hodge is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
and has been with Children's Urology for over 8 years. She manages The
Austin Dysfunctional Voiding And Enuresis Clinic, or The "ADVANCE"
Clinic. She specializes in evaluating and treating children and teenagers
with abnormal voiding behaviors such as daytime and nighttime wetting,
recurrent urinary tract infections (UTI's), urine frequency, and painful
urination.
She began her nursing career at Shriner Burns Hospital for Children while
completing her Bachelor's Degree at the Univ. of Texas Medical Branch in
Galveston in 1990. She has spent time in Houston, Plano and San Antonio
working with children and their families in ICU, Intermediate Care, Home
Health Care and Labor and Delivery. She obtained her Master's of Science
in Nursing in 1999 at The Univ. of Texas at Austin and received her
certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner that same year.
Amanda loves spending time outdoors, gardening among her flowers, camping,
and running. Mostly she loves spending time with her family. She is
married to Terrence, and they live with her step-children Jameson, Taylor,
Devin, their toddler, Evie, and their Long-Haired Miniature Dachshund,
Jose'.
