Statesman: Children's Urology Using Tech to Help Kids

Just as her 5-year-old daughter, Kaylen, was about to start kindergarten and was still having frequent bed-wetting problems, Alyssa Black found a solution: video games.

Black, an occupational therapist, worked with Dr. Leslie McQuiston, pediatric urologist of Children’s Urology. In an attempt to shift Kaylen from medication to other ways of treating frequent accidents, McQuiston had the family try a set of biofeedback video games in addition to keeping a regular bathroom schedule and watching food and drinks that could cause bladder irritation.
