Why Too Much Salt is Bad for Kids

Salt may not seem like an obvious threat to kids’ health but children love it salty just as much as they like it sweet. Faves like pizza, potato chips, ramen noodles, and mac and cheese are all loaded with sodium. How much sodium is too much in a child’s diet?

Kelly Nast is amazing! My 2 year old daughter hates going to doctor appointments, but she actually likes going to Children's Urology! The staff is very friendly, and make you feel welcomed. We've been going for almost 3 years now.

Coming to this appointment was scary for our family. Dr McQuiston was reassuring of answers ( more than what I had when I walked in ) and I was more aware and knowledgeable about our child condition when I walked out. The nurse in this office is amazing. Made me aware i was doing a good job with a new skill vs letting my anxiety take me over. The fron staff on the other hand did not seem to know what was going on. That is very frustrating. Knowingly so, COVID is taking a toll on every medical center. The waiting room was exceptionally bare ( we were the only patients ). The personnel in the window had masks on, but the sliding glass is frosted and only opened the window enough for me to slide cards through. I didnt feel welcome, was never updated the over and hour I spent in the waiting room and quite frankly I wasn't happy and my daughter was getting antsy. I was asked to fill out paperwork and keep for the medical assistant, thats what I did. The lady finally opened the window and asked what our name was after an hour, I was infuriated. The ultrasound tech came out to start the process and asked for me to verify the dob and name. My daughters name was spelled wrong. I sat out there that whole time all because they could not find her records, but yet no one bothered to get my paperwork or ask me. Super frutsrating to know it could have been prevented. A little communication goes a long way. Overall happy with the physician and her nurse, but the front could have been more helpful and efficient.

I met Dr. Nast for the first time and was extremely happy to have such a wonderful doctor taking care of my little one. She's caring. She doesn't rush you. She'll take her time to listen to you and come up with the best health plan for your little one. She's also knowledgeable and informative. All the staff I met were extremely kind. Had a wonderful experience!!!!
