KEYE-TV: Kids Learn About Surgery From Robot

Dr. Danielle Sweeney, the first pediatric physician trained on the da Vinci medical device, helped children (and adults!) get an idea what it’s like to be a surgeon using this innovative surgical option. The goal of the event was to expose children to science and innovation using an interactive surgical simulation.

During a 60-day in patient stay at Dell Children’s Medical Center, pediatric urologist, Dr. Danielle Sweeney got to know the Murphy’s well. She wanted to do something fun for the family. With the help of the Round Rock Express, Dr. Sweeney helped organize a special visit for Clayton with the Round Rock Express.
