 COVID-19 Update 1/3/2022

Effective immediately - Due to the recent rise of COVID-19 infections: Children's Urology encourages ONE parent/adult per patient visit and NO siblings to help reduce the transmission of the virus. Your cooperation is appreciated.  Masks are mandatory for children over 2 years of age & all adults. Plastic face shields are NOT allowed in place of face masks. Social distancing will still be enforced to protect our patients and staff regardless of any future lifting of mandates.

We are open and scheduling both in-office and telemedicine visits.  If you or anyone in your family is having symptoms according to the CDC guidelines, call the office for instructions.

For more information, please visit the CDC website

Office Visits - Effective January 3, 2022

  • Masks are required for all adults and children over 2 years of age (plastic face shields are NOT allowed in place of face masks)
  • Social distancing is enforced to protect our patients and staff

Other precautions:

  • We adhere to local health organizations' recommendations
  • Children and parent/guardian are screened for fever, cough, Respiratory Synctial Virus (RSV), and other signs of illness upon arrival to our clinic
  • We provide masks and other PPE to our staff and providers

What is telemedicine?
Telemedicine allows you to discuss symptoms, medical issues, and more with a healthcare provider in real-time using a computer, iPad, or phone to connect with your provider. Prior to your child’s visit, the provider and medical assistant will prepare the chart and gather all pertinent reports and records. The provider will take the time to review them before your visit. Using telemedicine, you can receive a diagnosis, learn your treatment options, and make a treatment plan.

Serving the children & families of Central Texas

How do I connect?
On this website, select the menu item "Telemedicine" and drop down to the provider your child is scheduled with, enter your Child's Name in the text box and press the Check In button. You will be in the providers virtual "waiting room."  Please arrive in the virtual waiting room 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Your provider will connect with you at the appropriate time.

Is a telemedicine visit a “real” visit?
Yes, during this time most telemedicine visits are covered by health insurance, and through the visit you and your provider will create a treatment plan for your child.  In some cases the provider may ask you to help with examination of your child (obtain the child’s current weight, look at specific areas of the body, for example).  Your provider may recommend a future in-person visit for examination or testing in some cases.

How do I schedule a telemedicine visit?
Please call our office to schedule your visit.  Our schedulers will provide details and collect further information needed to schedule the visit. Telemedicine may be subject to deductibles, co-insurance and or co-payments.
